Duties: The Web Applications Developer Intern will work with the Web Services team to execute, develop or maintain assorted Web Services projects. Serving both CU*Answers clients and internal staff, the Web Applications Developer Intern builds web projects following standards-compliant web coding practices and guidelines.



This internship is scheduled to begin in January 2015 and concludes in June 2015. It is a part time flexible internship that averages 20-25 hrs per week.

Duties:

1.       Day-to-day client web site maintenance.

2.       Collaborates with Web Services teammates to design and launch web sites for CU*Answers and CU*Answers clients.

3.       Researches, designs and executes web-enabled applications.

4.       Keep CU*Answers up to date with Internet, browser and related technological changes and industry advancements.

5.       Maintain a positive contribution as a member of the Web Services and Technical Resource Teams and complete all tasks assigned by management to meet team objectives.



Qualifications:

1.Exposure to programming languages and syntaxes including but not limited to HTML, XML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and SQL.

2.Knowledge of Internet-related and other PC software; ability to learn and explore new software independently.

3.Currently seeking a degree in a Computer Science or Marketing related discipline.

4.Ability to perform complete project development including project analysis, design, development, delegation of duties as needed, installation, ongoing maintenance, and any necessary documentation.

5.Excellent verbal communication skills; ability to deal with external clients as well as internal staff.

6.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

7.Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.



Pay:  $10-$12/hr

Hours:  20-25
