Mellon University is one of the "Big 3" in Computer Science, along with MIT
and Stanford.  If you can get into this program (and many of you should be
able to), this would be a real boost to any resume.  I encourage you to

IT Lab- Junior Summer Institute

Along with their experiential learning activities, IT Lab Fellows will take
two summer courses at CMU, one in empirical methods and one in innovation.

*Application Deadline: December 1, 2014*

The IT Lab-Junior Summer Institute will accept applications from U.S.
citizens/permanent residents pursuing STEM-related undergraduate degrees
such as computer science, engineering, math, physics, information
technology, or business information systems.

We would appreciate your help in sharing news about this opportunity with
your students. Our goal is to offer the fellowship to as many as 20
students for the 2015 cohort.  In your role on campus, you interact with
students on a daily basis who would not only be eligible for this
fellowship, but who would greatly benefit from the experience we are
offering next summer.



The IT Lab will provide its Fellows with a stipend of $1,000 in addition to
completely covering the cost of participating in this unique summer
fellowship opportunity. This includes tuition, books and supplies,
transportation to and from Pittsburgh, housing, meals, and social
functions.

*The 2015 IT Lab- Junior Summer Institute will begin Friday, June 12 and
conclude Saturday, August 1. *

To be eligible for consideration, prospective students must meet *all* of
the following qualifications:

1.       Be entering his/her senior year in August 2015

2.       Be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident

3.       Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher

4.       Be in a STEM-related or other relevant major

5.       Complete our online application
