Hi Joel, Pat and Vic:

I would appreciate your help in encouraging students to attend the GE Aviation info session being held on Monday. I have 21 RSVPs so far, but most are from EE students (just 5 CS). I would love to have some more CS/IS students since there are great opportunities for them! If you could mention it in class, I would appreciate it. Students should RSVP to me.

Here are the details (and I've attached a poster).

CS, IS and EE students:
Mark your calendars for an excellent recruiting opportunity. GE Aviation will be at Calvin on Monday, Sept 22, from 4:00-7:00 in SB 110 to share information with you about the following opportunities. RSVP to laurie at calvin.edu<mailto:laurie at calvin.edu> with your name, major, and year at Calvin.


*      Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP): full-time engineering positions, 3-year rotational program starting in August 2015. Includes 4-6 rotations within the GE business. Participants also receive further education that may result in a master's degree. At the successful completion of the program, participants find permanent roles within the company. This program is open to EE and CS seniors.



*      Information Technology Internships for Summer 2015: full-time internships are available at GE sites in the U.S. for sophomores and juniors with CS or IS majors, or for EE majors with an interest in IT work.


Recruiters will offer a brief overview of these opportunities on the hour (4:00, 5:00, and 6:00), followed by time for students to meet one-on-one with recruiters. Bring your resume and dress professionally (suit isn't required, but dress pants and dress shirt are recommended). These are brief screening interviews with recruiters.

Pizza and drinks will be provided.
