> Greetings Kathi!

> My name is Michele Stitt and I serve as Coordinator for the Kent County Prevention Coalition [KCPC]. The KCPC is a project of Kent County based network180 and is a local community coalition whose mission is to create a healthier Kent County by preventing and reducing substance use and abuse with a special focus on youth. The KCPC is a 'Drug Free Communities grantee which has attained national acclaim via the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy for its' innovative approach to substance abuse prevention. One of the ways that the KCPC achieves its' mission is through the Above the Influence [ATI] - Kent County campaign. Above the Influence is a national brand and is a community of youth striving to live their best lives by taking a stand to live above (as opposed to under) the influence of drugs, alcohol and other negative behaviors.
>
> The KCPC Staff Team is looking to take the ATI-Kent County brand to the next level by creating a mobile app! I would be happy to pass along additional details but am reaching out to determine whether you know of any stellar student app developers that might be interested in taking on this body of work. Below is a bit of high-level information regarding this project.
> Specific Needs:
> RE: App Maintenance -- It is important for our KCPC Staff Team to have the ability to access and update/revise the app as needed.
> RE: Timeline -- Looking to GO LIVE with 'Phase 1' of this app by mid-late September 2015.
> RE: Functionality -- Although we are aware that our tight timeline might dictate what is and isn't realistic, we are hoping for Phase 1 of this app to do the following:
> Connect youth with local resources
> 'Trivia Crack' type games with stats applicable to ATI-Kent County, assorted facts related to alcohol, tobacco and other drug use
> Ability to send "Push Messages"
> Would love to be able to incorporate some sort of photo uploading elements -- we're just not currently sure of the based tie-in at this point [perhaps this is a Phase 2 feature]
> Would love to be able to incorporate event-specific items for our Annual Youth Summit such as (but not limited to):
> I Spy games within the App at Youth Summit (ex: I Spy Michele and take a photo with her for points in the game)
> Raffles/Drawings on the day of Youth Summit
> If you download app, there's a cool function for that event. (ex: at a Demi Levoto concert, concert-goers downloaded the app and they received a color function.)
> Flash Mob or ATI mobile @ alarm (like food trucks)
> RE: Budget -- $8 -10,000
> Our Ideal Candidate Would Be:
> A strong listener
> Detail focused
> Has excellent follow through
> Works independently
> Has respect for and appreciation of thoughts, ethnicity and inclusiveness of all members of our community
> Is flexible by nature
> Ideally a seasoned (perhaps Capstone) student
> Responsible
> Reliable
> Know of someone that might be an excellent fit for this project? Let me know!
>
> Given our tight timeline, I would LOVE to be able to hear back from you by or before 5pm Wednesday, August 19th. Is this feasible? Please advise.
> Thank you!
