  *   Collaborate with the management team, project leaders, development staff, business analysts and end users to ensure that data management plans focus on maximizing the value and use of data across the organization.
  *   The individual will be expected to support strategic business initiatives, working on the cutting edge of a lot of technologies, and
  *   Conceive projects needed to eliminate gaps between the company’s current state and future business goals.
  *   Develop strategies and roadmaps for data architecture, integration, collection, quality management and delivery.
  *   Propose methods and systems for data gathering, analysis, reporting and use.
  *   Articulate the differences and the advantages/disadvantages of alternative solutions.
  *   Because we work on the cutting edge and introduction of a lot of technologies, this individual would also take on the following responsibilities:
  *   Manage the design, implementation, testing and tuning of the IT infrastructure, hardware, database(s) and analytical tools.
  *   Create and manage protocols for gathering and processing raw data into a form suitable for analysis.
  *   Perform end-to-end tests, analyses and evaluations to determine the effectiveness of data analysis solutions post implementation.
Education and Experience Requirements

  *   5 years previous experience in a similar role.
  *   Previous experience as Architecture Lead on a Big Data Architecture Strategy project.
  *   Deep understanding of big-data infrastructure components and languages. Experience with e.g. SQL and NoSQL,MapReduce and Hadoop is a plus.
  *   Deep understanding of data warehouse approaches, industry standards and industry best practices, and experience with large data repositories.
  *   Knowledge of how to assess the performance of database and data analysis solutions, how to diagnose performance problems, and use of tools used to monitor and tune performance
  *   Experience in in data mining, cleaning, processing and analysis.
  *   Strong knowledge of, and experience with statistics; potentially other advanced math as well.
