Title : Database Administrator(DBA) Logical
Location: NEWARK DE
Duration: 10+ months

Description:
Description: RM - FIN SVC
Administration of application objects within database.
Maintain business requirements for database.
Maintain database schema.
Maintain data maps, ERDs.
Maintain application objects (tables, indexes, views, etc?).
Perform database application tuning.
Provide business and data requirements and data for capacity planning.

LEVEL 2 Requirements:
Typically requires BA/BS or equivalent and 3-5 years of related and progressively more responsible experience.
For SMEs, Sr Level doesn't apply.
Performs a broad range of work, sometimes complex and non routine, in a variety of environments.
Understands and uses appropriate methods, tools and applications.
Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.
Works under general supervision.
Uses discretion in identifying and resolving complex problems and escalating issues.
Usually receives specific instructions and has work reviewed at frequent milestones.

Additional Job Details:
Candidate should Perform Hadoop and Hive administration on the Development, UAT environments.
Support the development teams with their project requests of DDL & schema creation.
Query tuning, space monitoring and hadoop cluster management.
Developing Hive SQL, Oozie workflows, Sqoop to export/import data to Hive Tables.
Have understanding of Hadoop design principals, cluster connectivity, security (Kerberos authentication) and the factors that affect distributed system performance
Have experience in implementing Hadoop database cluster and installation of Hadoop.
Have Experience in SQL, SQL/PL, Unix Shell Programming, PERL scripting
