Summer internships in industry are great for CS students, but some of our younger students aren't ready to compete for those yet.  So Gordon College created a pre-internship program last year.  Students worked in small groups to write software for real customers, with faculty and industry mentors.

The program worked well for the students and their customers, so we're repeating it this year and expanding it slightly by inviting students from other colleges.  If you know a Christian CS student who might be interested, please forward this link to them.

The application deadline is soon, so if they are interested but can't move that fast, have them contact me and I'll work with them on the deadline.

Having moved from industry (as a software engineer and manager) to academia just under 2 years ago, I really enjoy this time working in depth with students.  It would be fun to meet and work with a few of your students, too, this summer.
