Learn for Results, a small, Grand Rapids-based company specializing in hosting and supporting Moodle training sites, is looking for an individual to help with Amazon Web Services setup and management. In particular, we are looking for someone who can help us migrate 20+ websites from one AWS account to another and upgrade the server software to be uniform across all instances. We also want to consolidate what we can for a more efficient use of AWS and set up alerts and automatic backups to be sustainable long-term. Great practical, hands-on experience at a small, local company.
Objectives:
* Launch new, consistent LAMP servers in AWS
* Copy current Moodle application and database over to new server setup
* Consider AWS use, making suggestions on disk size and configuration
* Set up alerts to warn of issues such as running out of disk space
* Set up automatic backups within AWS
Qualifications:
* Experience with LAMP server setup (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
* Knowledge of and experience with AWS, especially EC2
* Knowledge of database maintenance
Pay rate depends upon experience.
