Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician

The City of Zeeland Board of Public Works is accepting applications to fill the position of a Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician.  The person in this position creates, maintains and disseminates data in the GIS environment.  This is a full-time position with benefits.  Qualifications include a minimum two-year College Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Engineering Technology or equivalent; 3-5 years' experience and knowledge with GIS data and editing using ESRI ArcGIS software; three years industry related experience and knowledge of AutoCad as related to municipal infrastructure mapping.   Must have a valid Michigan Driver's License with three years driving experience and the ability to maintain one throughout employment.  Applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal background check, physical exam and drug screening.
