Compensation Statement
Starting salaries will vary depending upon the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. This position will be filled at the Enterprise Analyst, Grade 16 salary of $65,719 as the primary goal. The requirements listed below reflect the Enterprise Analyst level expectation. Applicants with lesser experience are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the primary goal is not met. Lesser-experienced candidates will be classified at an Associate Enterprise Analyst, Grade 14 salary of $54,925.
SUMMARY
Responsible for the implementation, development and support of enterprise and departmental information systems designed to improve business function.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Note: Although the essential job functions are similar for an Associate Enterprise Analyst and Enterprise Analyst, the degree to which these duties are met varies based on the position assigned.
* Develop, customize and support applications using Oracle/PeopleSoft tools, including PeopleTools Application Designer, PeopleCode, SQR, COBOL, Application Engine, Integration Broker, and BI Publisher
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
* Assist with the overall support of the enterprise software across all environments
* Provide support for enterprise application tickets received from the Customer Support desk
* Submit software problems to vendors and apply resolutions
* Work directly with external software developers in order to resolve product issues
* Provide guidance and assistance to other analysts and engineers in troubleshooting complex system design problems
* Evaluate, administer, test, re-develop and deploy application upgrades, updates, and fixes.
* Meet with users to determine business functionality. Provide direction and documentation regarding products or system processes that meet these needs. Research and investigate new functionality and system design issues
* Consult with customers in order to determine their information collection requirements and help them to develop specifications for functional, cost efficient systems that will meet current and future business needs
* Keeps abreast of changing technologies and investigate new software solutions in order to make recommendations for improvement.
* Work in cooperation with team members in order to globally deploy software and their resolutions, as well as, ensure that systems are streamlined to run efficiently and effectively.
* Research, evaluate, select, install, configure, test, support and maintain information system applications
* Design, develop, maintain and support custom relational database management systems
* Develop bolt-on systems for product functionality not currently available
* Proficiency with providing and consuming Application Program Interfaces (APIs)
* Develop using 3rd party enterprise software (Perceptive ImageNow, Gideon Taylor eForms, etc)
* Develop automated business process flows within PeopleSoft, Gideon Taylor eForms or ImageNow
* Design and test application access, roles and privileges
* Assist functional users in the development of procedures and documenting of processes
* Adheres to change management best practices and uses GRCC-supported tools for code and object migration and documentation.
* Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or bachelor’s degree in another field with significant coursework in one of those disciplines.
* National Career Readiness Certificate preferred but not required.
Work Experience
Note: Work Experience of the Enterprise Analyst assumes all knowledge of the Associate Enterprise Analyst.
Associate Enterprise Analyst Work Experience
Enterprise Analyst Work Experience
Experience with development (in an enterprise level system or higher education environment preferred)
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an application developer or equivalent role in mainstream software development (in higher education preferred)
Experience with PeopleSoft development a plus
Proficiency working with Oracle (PeopleSoft) technical tools that support Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management (HCM) or Financials (FS) version 9.0 or later or another enterprise information system
Experience in one or more higher education functional areas such as HR, Finance, Student Records, Student Financials, or Financial Aid preferred.
Relational database architecture exposure and demonstrable knowledge of SQL
Relational database architecture experience (Oracle 11g or later preferred) and proficiency in advanced SQL.
Knowledge of database and program design, object oriented programming, and unit testing of software packages
Experience should include, but is not limited to, analysis, database and program design, programming and unit testing of software packages and internally developed systems
Experience writing queries, reports or programs using development tools such as SQR, Java, Python, etc.
Proficient development of applications that include a level of complexity.
Prior experience with additional systems including Document Management (ImageNow), Forms Tools (Gideon Taylor eForms) or Classroom Scheduling solutions (e.g. CollegeNet Series25 software) a plus
Project management skills including analyzing and developing project requirements and specifications, as well as timeline development preferred

* Work is in close proximity to other people in a shared office space.
