VACANCY NOTICE

Job Title:        Educational Technology Consultant
                        Information Technology & Data Services

The Educational Technology Consultant will assist administrators and staff in integrating appropriate and innovative technologies to support, enhance, and extend learning. The Educational Technology Consultant will work with internal programs at Kent ISD and with constituent districts including local education agencies and public school academies. This position requires local travel.

The Educational Technology Consultant reports to the Director of Information Technology and Data Services.

Job Qualifications:

  1.  Bachelor’s degree in Education, Master’s degree in educational technology preferred
  2.  Minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience with related experience in educational technology
  3.  Demonstrated ability to create and deliver high-quality professional learning for teachers and administrators.
  4.  Demonstrated ability to provide technical support to non-technical users.
  5.  Great verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with district staff, constituent district personnel, and the general public.
  6.  Strong interest and experience in pedagogy and innovation
  7.  Experience working with diverse learners
  8.  Experience with multiple Learning Management Systems
  9.  Expertise with G-Suite for Education, G-Suite Administration and Office 365, G-Suite Certification preferred
  10. Exceptional project management and execution skills
  11. Ability to work independently and within a team
  12. Effective verbal and written communications skills
  13. Excellent customer service skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors, constituent district staff, and internal department staff.
  14. Demonstrates a strong commitment to equity, social justice and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilities. Demonstrates the ability to examine the impact of education inequities in student achievement outcomes as it aligns with race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status.
  15. Adherence to the highest level of professionalism by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and maturity

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1.  Work collaboratively with colleagues to design, develop, and deliver Educational Technology initiatives that align with the mission of the ISD and the needs of the classroom.
  2.  Support Educational Technology use through daily advising, collaborating, and training of teachers both in and out of the classroom.
  3.  Provide support for educational technology devices, systems, and content.
  4.  Evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of current and future uses of Educational Technology.
  5.  In partnership with the Director of Information Technology and Data Services, research and propose new ways to enhance teaching and learning, promote innovation, and foster purposeful, meaningful, and creative integration of technology.
  6.  In coordination with school policies and procedures, promote continued development and use of the school’s AUP, digital citizenship program, and current technology standards.
  7.  Develops and coordinates county-wide educational technology networked professional learning opportunities.
  8.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 annually; based on education and experience
