If you are looking for summer work in programming and app development, please consider applying to serve as a McGregor Fellow with Classics Professor David Noe. Prof. Noe is developing an app that will present an audio recording of Theodore Beza's Latin New Testament. The job pays $10/hr. for 400 hours total. Student qualifications: interest in Latin (not necessarily ability); interest in the New Testament; interest in digital humanities; extensive attention to detail; knowledge of programming language(s) and/or ability to learn simple app design

Student tasks:  learn how to program a simple text/speech app for distribution via various online channels; help create a manipulable text from PDF of Beza's Latin Bible using OCR and error check against original; manage simple recording studio setting and serve as sound engineer for Prof. Noe's audio recording of the text
Work schedule: approx. June 1-July 31
