Here’s what makes this CCEL internship a compelling opportunity:

You will make an impact

  * When you join our team, you immediately begin helping millions of people around the world: we have over 14 million users annually and over 100,000 page views daily.
  * Our agile, fast-paced environment means that you will likely write code that goes into production during your first few days of work.
  * In addition to benefiting our users, your work will impact the open-source community: we regularly work with open-source projects by suggesting improvements and submitting pull requests.

You will gain significant and diverse experience

  * You will develop practical, highly transferrable skills with key technologies like Docker, MySQL, Apache, Nginx, Drupal, and Laravel.
  * Beyond honing your software development skills, you will gain experience working with server infrastructure, both on-premise hardware as well as cloud computing resources.
  * Not only will the experience you gain at CCEL be exceptionally valuable, but it will also be enjoyable for you to acquire. Our work environment is casual and friendly, and our emphasis on utilizing open-source tools is a dream to most developers.

You will invest in teammates; teammates will invest in you

  * Our processes reflect our commitment to investing in one another. From day one, you will participate with the rest of the team in code review, both performing and receiving it. You will benefit from mutual encouragement and constructive, growth-inducing feedback.
  * You will also have numerous impromptu opportunities to foster relationships with team members via pair-programming sessions, informal conversations and brainstorming, lean coffee meetings, and more.
  * In addition to ad-hoc collaboration options, you will benefit from regularly scheduled growth opportunities. You will be invited to join our weekly organization-wide time of devotions and prayer. Additionally, one afternoon each week, you will participate in an extremely varied learning time for developers in which we might, e.g., learn about a new concept together, explore a new tool or framework, hold a coding competition, or perform a disaster recovery drill.
