University of Kentucky Computer Science Research Positions Undergraduate Summer Research Internships The Computer Science Department at the University of Kentucky has multiple summer research opportunities available for current undergraduate students. Positions are available in both the University of Kentucky Laboratory for Advanced Networking (http://netlab.uky.edu) and the University of Kentucky Center for Visualization and Virtual Environments (http://vis.uky.edu). Current research projects in the labs cover a wide range of topics including the design of future internet architectures, programmable and software defined networks, network security policies and access mechanisms, network measurement and monitoring, network testbed tools and services, digital image analysis, imaging of historic manuscripts, and damaged manuscript restoration. Summer research internships are available to undergraduate students in CS or ECE who have completed at least two years of undergraduate study. Summer internships are paid positions and typically last 10 weeks. The exact start date and duration are negotiable.
