<p>This is a 20-hour-per-week position which offers paid sick, vacation, and holiday time. Pay starts at $16.8703 per hour and offers the opportunity for increases beginning at six months. See below for more information.</p>

<p>Job Summary:<br>
This person will maintain end-user workstations on local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN). Perform a variety of maintenance, software installation, end-user support and training tasks to ensure end-user workstations and network performance meet
organization requirements. Provide support to staff on various applications. Troubleshoot computer problems, determine source and advise on appropriate action. Complete application project-based work. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all organization
standards, policies and procedures.</p>

<p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p>
<p>1. 1-2 years help-desk experience.<br>
2. Ability to install and support Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems<br>
3. Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer hardware<br>
4. Solid knowledge of TCP/IP networking<br>
5. Familiarity with open-source software<br>
6. Reliable transportation<br>
7. Strong desire to help others, learn more, and figure things out</p>

<p>Desirable:<br>
– Software development experience, shell scripting, JavaScript or CGI development (primarily Perl)<br>
– Knowledge of library system software, preferably Evergreen<br>
– Working knowledge of SQL<br>
