<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">This
position aids the Hekman Library Technology Department with assorted
computer-related tasks. Examples include web development, computer maintenance,
and data entry. Other routine library tasks will also be assigned as needed.
Experience with open source communities is preferred. </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><br></span></p>

Responsibilities</span></b></p>

or edit library web content using the content management system</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Install,
configure, and support library specific workstation/client software</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Develop
small programming projects within specific guidelines</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Create
or improve documentation of library systems, interfaces, workflows,
decisions and projects</span></li>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Desired Skills,
Abilities and Qualifications</span></b></p>
<ul type="disc">
<li class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Working
knowledge of web page development and content management systems</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Experience
with web technologies (Minimally HTML and JavaScript; also useful are PHP,
Perl, Python, and the Django framework)</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Experience
with version control systems (Git, Bazaar, etc.)</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Ability
to provide multiple solutions to a problem, with a basic assessment of the
strengths and weaknesses of each</span></li>
<li class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Ability
to communicate clearly on detailed subjects, taking initiative to ask
