<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white">I hope you are well! I wanted to let you know of an opportunity coming up on December 4 for students and faculty who wanted to volunteer in schools for Computer Science Awareness Week. It is the
<span style="color:#212121">Hour of Code initiative. This is being supported by the West Michigan Tech Talent – the GROW subcommittee.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="color:#212121">The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries, and is a great way to get involved this holiday season and teach local students passion
for and interest in IT. The experience will not include teaching actual code, but rather a simple tutorial to teach 3<sup>rd</sup> – 5<sup>th</sup> grade students how to think in a more of a detail and process oriented mindset. Each participant will have
a detailed script as a mentor, to know exactly what to do and ensure a very simple and straight forward experience without the requirement for technical knowledge. Last year, WMTT had about 1000 students participating … this year, we have almost 2500 students.
