The student computing club Abstraction will preside over this week's computing colloquium.
Title: Workshop: Command-line Tools, Shortcuts, and bash Scripting
Abstract: Members of the Computer Science and Information Systems club "Abstraction" will lead participants in learning advanced command-line (shell) tools, useful command-line shortcuts, and simple bash scripting. Example: need to kill off that runaway Firefox process? Try ps -ef | grep firefox to get the process id, and then use kill to terminate the process.
Colloquium will meet Tuesday, 7 April, in SB 354, the unix lab. Please note the change of venue. Snack will be available at 3:20, in SB 321, with the workshop beginning at 3:30 p.m.
