Job Description :



PURPOSE OF POSITION:



  *   To provide day-to-day support of IT hardware and software including servers, storage, and data center connectivity critical to the operation of the business.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  *   Assist in the administration of server and storage systems including performance monitoring, operations planning, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
  *   Participate in planning and implementation of software changes including version upgrades, service pack installation, and hot fixes.
  *   Assist with operation of backup system for all data center systems.
  *   Assist with deployment and maintenance of all data center hardware.
  *   Maintain documentation on data center systems and policies.
  *   Work closely with IT Technical teams to perform issue resolution and support.
  *   Work closely with IT Support staff to efficiently respond to user support requests.



SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  *   Contribute to IT Department projects as needed.
  *   Assist on projects with the Manufacturing IT Support group
  *   Provide additional support to other network and server support team members as needed - including production down issues.



POSITION DEMANDS:



  *   A 4-year degree in computer related field.
  *   Two years of support experience preferred.
  *   Knowledge of the following technologies preferred:
  *   Microsoft Windows Server
  *   LINUX
  *   Microsoft Active Directory
  *   VMware
  *   Core storage technology (SAN / NAS)
  *   Networking/Cisco fundamentals
