Hi!  My name is Wayne Schalk (class of 1989) and I work in the International Engineering Department at Amway Corporation in Ada as part of a small software development team.  We have an opening for a paid internship for next summer and are seeking qualified candidates.  As an alumnus of Calvin with two sons currently attending there, including one in the CS program (Jon Schalk), I wanted to make sure Calvin Students were aware of this opportunity close to school.  I have attached a file which describes the position and provides you with a contact person.  Our group would appreciate it if you could pass this along, and/or post it in the department, etc. in order to get the word out.  Depending on how things go during the internship and the situation of the student, it could possibly turn into full time employment.

Unfortunately my son would not be an eligible candidate for the position in our department but our larger IT department may have internships for the summer and positions are currently being filled, even this far in advance. Please note that we have informed HR so this may be revised in the future. It would be a good idea for students to apply under that job posting, but also to send resumes directly to Parry Eckman<mailto:Parry.Eckman at amway.com> so that it does not get lost or somehow passed over if posted online.
