Calvin College seeks a Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Analytics. This position oversees and coordinates institutional information needs by (1) creating a strong center of analytical, data-informed decision support processes and (2) providing standardized and ad-hoc reporting, strategic and operational dashboards, predictive analytics, and other analytical services and resources to address strategic academic and administrative operations to the college (3) supporting an integrated, systematic data-informed process of continuous improvement throughout the college. This position anticipates, identifies, and explores how data can be used for effective decision making, and works to lead and build a culture of data-informed analysis. The position requires a Master's degree or equivalent and the position requires five to ten years of related experience. Requires a broad knowledge of advanced technical procedures and practices. Position is open until filled. 

Calvin College seeks a Database Analyst. This position is Responsible for providing technical leadership in managing and integrating a variety of information and database systems by leveraging multiple tool sets to collect, store, process, manipulate, and report on college data. This role specifically includes database administration and system management for systems ranging from specialty to enterprise. This role may also advise on research or academic initiatives as well as participate in information security, policy, compliance, data quality, and analytics projects. The position requires a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a technical field related to engineering or computer science; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a full-time position. Position is open until filled. Preference will be given to those who apply by March 6.

Calvin College seeks a Network Engineer. This position is accountable for supporting the technology infrastructure affecting the Calvin College campus. Providing technical knowledge to keep the network (servers, switches etc) operating consistently, efficiently and securely. The position is responsible for systems administration, installation, and maintenance of network equipment and software systems. Primary support on one or more of following systems: VMware Linux, Novell, Windows, MAC, Cisco IOS and others as required. Conduct required research and provide a technical insight into the computer needs of the college and the state of the computer industry. This position requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field from a four year college or university; three to five years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. This job may require non-standard work hours, on call periods, or lengthened hours based upon project demands.

Calvin college seeks a Systems Engineer. This position is accountable for supporting the technology infrastructure affecting the Calvin College campus. Provides technical knowledge to keep servers, systems, and networks operating consistently, efficiently and securely. Responsible for systems administration, installation, and maintenance of infrastructure equipment and software systems. To be successful, general knowledge of the following operating systems and platforms needed: Microsoft Windows, Linux, Apple OSX, VMware, and various cloud (SaS, PaaS, IaaS) technologies. Provide a technical insight into the computer needs of the college and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field from a four year college or university; one to three years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Position is open until filled with preference given to those who apply by March 6.

Calvin College seeks a Security Analyst. This position is responsible for broad aspects of information technology at Calvin College. The position specifically provides oversight and general analysis of information and technology security at Calvin College and contributes to technical and administrative aspects of the Calvin Information Technology department to insure the delivery of secure information technology services at the college.  This position requires a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a background in computer science, computer systems, statistics or analysis; one to three years experience in the field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to those with a two or more years of experience in a higher education or other not-for-profit environments. This position has shared on-call duties periodically responding to security incidents. This position is open until filled.

Calvin College seeks an Associate/Assistant Professor of Kinesiology. The kinesiology department invites applications for an Associate/Assistant Professor of Kinesiology with expertise in clinical exercise physiology. This is a full-time, tenure-track appointment, pending administrative approval, with an anticipated starting date of August 10, 2015. The Department of Kinesiology seeks a faculty member to maintain the high level of scientific rigor coupled with considerable hands-on experiences offered to our 150 Exercise Science and Pre-Professional (allied health) students. A Ph.D. (or equivalent) in exercise science or a related area and a demonstrated potential for research are required. Teaching experience is highly valued. An American College of Sports Medicine Certification as a Clinical Exercise Specialist or Clinical Exercise Physiologist is preferred. 
Preference will also be given to persons with demonstrated clinical experience, strong communication skills and a strong interest in teaching. The ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in kinesiology is essential. Preference will be given to applicants who apply by December 15, 2014.
