Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:
* Develop, debug, test, and deploy new and existing applications
* Help to ensure that developed application solutions satisfy business and technical requirements and that standard testing procedures have been followed, interfacing with internal and external technical staff to define application solutions and resolve problems as needed
* Design and develop custom solutions with guidance from Development Manager, translating technical specifications into new code or enhancements to existing applications
* Assist and follow-up with developers concerning design deliverables, when needed, for every stage of the design and development cycle of assigned products
* Communicate progress to development team
* Create and iterate through design concepts, flow charts, wire frames, comps, static and interactive design prototypes, design specifications, and other deliverables in a way that is tightly integrated with design and development processes
Qualifications:
* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, with emphasis on application development, information management systems or database management systems. IT project management is a plus.
* Ability to effectively communicate design concepts to designers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders
* Knowledge of design fundmentals including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop, tablets, smartphones and webbased applications a plus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; analysis and problem solving skills; and attention to detail
* Experience/knowledge in Java, .Net, HTML, CSS and Mobile a plus
* Experience with design tools including Adobe Creative Suite, IRise, Visio and Dreamweaver a plus
* Targeted graduation dates from December 2014 through Summer 2015
