SUMMARY
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution.
Basic Function/Responsibilities:
* Handle Tier 1 help desk escalations through tickets or phone
* Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
* Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process
* Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms
* Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
* Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
* Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
* Write training manuals.
* Train computer users.
* Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
* Respond to email messages for customers seeking help.
* Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
* Walk customer through problem-solving process.
* Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
* Clean up computers.
* Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
* Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
* Install computer peripherals for users.
* Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
* Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.
Required Experience:
* 2-4 years formal education/certifications in Information Technology
* Windows 7, Office 365/2013, (Eclipse- Not required but beneficial)
* Active Directory maintenance and Exchange 2013
* PC hardware, Printers, scanners, computer peripherals, Mobile devices (iOS, Android)
* Client PC connectivity - ethernet, TCP/IP and VPN
* File server knowledge
* Experience with imaging and application distribution and Trend desktop security products
* Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
* Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
* 2 years+ experience working in a Windows environment
