Dear Keith,

I am hoping you might have a stellar Digital Comm or CS student to recommend for an internship with Amway.  I have been working to develop a relationship with a couple of Calvin alumni at Amway to try to facilitate internships for Calvin students there.  A position just was posted for this summer that would be great for a digital communication or CS student, and my contact there alerted me to it and offered to advocate for any particularly strong students we want to send her way.  By the way, Amway generally only hires students who have already had an internship elsewhere.

Do you have an excellent candidate or two that you would recommend?  If we have a sophomore or junior who would be dynamite, she suggests having the student apply only ASAP (this week) and also wants me to forward her the resume so that she can personally call the hiring manager.  Please give some thought to a student you would recommend and encourage them to apply. If they follow through, please send me the student's resume so I can send it forward to Cheri with our endorsement.
