Hello,

We are an established graphics/communication firm in Wheaton, Illinois looking for a part-time Web developer to join or team on-site or remotely.

What kind of coder are we looking for?
• best-practices PHP/MySQL WordPress and plugin development
• working knowledge of Javascript (jQuery)
• comfortable working on the command line in the LAMP

Coding Pluses
• skills in CSS3, and HTML5 for developing responsive sites
• is familiar with the SASS framework
• has developed within a GIT workflow
• comfortable working with Docker containers

Pluses beyond the 1's and 0's
• must be able to meet deadlines and budgets
• must communicate status of projects
• service-minded (much of our work is for Christian organizations)
• understands how the creative process works (we are designers first)
• self-starter (management here is more laissez-faire)

Application:
• submit résumé with list of programming skills and live Web site examples with explanation of role and involvement
• interview (online is fine)

We been doing business under a couple of names since 1978, back in the day when we had to spec type and paste-up mechanical. But we've always been early adopters and so we quickly embraced the digital age in the mid-80's and then the Web in the early 90's.

Our work has included everything from branding to annual reports, brochures, and other print, but has evolved to steady diet of online media including websites, Web apps, content and social marketing.
