JOB DESCRIPTION: Business Intelligence Engineer

The RUN Group is looking for a motivated Business Intelligence Engineer to help build an innovative Real Estate Analytics platform. This individual will be responsible for aggregating multiple data sources into AWS Redshift, running historical trend and predictive analytics on the data, and generate actionable insights to optimize real estate acquisition and redevelopment activities. You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions using third-party and in-house reporting tools, modeling metadata, building reports and dashboards, generating data visualization, and administering the platform software. Strong candidates are expected to have adept SQL skills, and build efficient, flexible, extensible, and scalable data modeling and architecture.

You must be action-oriented and a self-starter so as to be able to learn as you go.

Basic Qualifications

*       Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical field

*       3-5 years' experience with and detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools

*       Experience in relational database concepts with a solid knowledge of SQL, including ability to write complex queries against one or more schemas

*       Strong knowledge of various data warehousing methodologies and data modeling concepts

*       Hands on modeling experience a plus

*       Experience in one of the modern reporting tools such as Superset, Tableau, etc.

*       Perform ad-hoc analyses and respond to data/analytical requests

Preferred Qualifications

*       5-7 years in data engineering, business intelligence, or analyst role w/a data focus

*       Familiarity with AGILE methodology a plus

*       Real estate industry and data knowledge a plus

*       Ability to perform statistical modelling; correlative vs causal analysis

*       Understanding of agile software development cycle

*       Strong background Datawarehouse environment

*       Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

*       Knowledge of Tableau and/or Superset, and data visualization

*       Knowledge of Columnar databases

*       Familiarity with AWS technologies

*       Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop/Hive a plus
