Dear Mrs. Gould,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Koos van Leeuwen and I work as the National Faculty Talent Manager for Great Hearts Academies, which is a non-profit network of K-12 charter schools with 30 academies in Arizona and Texas serving over 17,000 students. Great Hearts provides a classical, liberal arts education with an emphasis on the Great Books. Because of the high demand for our schools, we are expanding each year, and every year we are looking for quality teachers to join our ranks.

On March 11th and 12th I will be visiting Calvin College with the purpose of meeting with professors and interviewing students/graduates. On March 11th I will hold an info session/meet and greet from 2:30-5:30pm in Hiemenga Hall 315, and on March 12th I will conduct interviews with students interested in joining Great Hearts from 1:30-5:00pm in Hekman Library 220. Please find attached a flyer with this information that could be sent to students/alumni etc. who might be interested in learning more about Great Hearts and/or would like to interview.

It is important to note that we hire candidates from all different majors (math, science, theology, business, education, philosophy etc.). Teaching certification is not required in our network.

If you know of any professors that would be willing to meet with me in the morning of March 12th, I would welcome the opportunity. In general, we have been most fruitful in our recruiting efforts when professors who support our academies and mission, talk about Great Hearts with students/graduates who love the liberal arts and are open to the idea of teaching.
