Data Entry ++ Job Opportunity



I am looking for some data entry help and depending on how far we get over this semester, perhaps some help with data analysis. I am working on a meta-analysis comparison of soil water properties and land use that I am looking to publish in a refereed journal. I am comparing infiltration, soil type, land cover and a few other parameters for paired studies of cultivated land (crop, active pasture, turf) vs native prairie and forest and restored prairies/forests. Right now I have 40 vetted studies with about 60% of the data entry done for the first 24 studies. But I just did the math and to complete just the remainder of data entry is probably another 80-120 hours and since I'm averaging maybe 4-hrs a week on this, I'm into just data entry for most of the rest of the year. I want to get the data entry done this semester and as feasible start or perhaps finish the data analysis. Proposed salary is $15/hr directly (up to a total of no more than $1500). The hope is that the work will be completed over the course of this semester. The data entry is in EXCEL but I plan to use SigmaPlot for the data plotting and some of the analysis. I am expecting everyone has experience with EXCEL but SigmaPlot experience would be a bonus.



I'd like to find either a serious undergrad or grad who is detail-oriented, has 10-15 hrs/week (hopefully, mostly consistently) and, perhaps, an interest in this work. Depending on how much they get done, I'm willing to either share publication credit or at least cite their help in the paper. I mean, I'm perfectly happy if they want to do more, but I'm limited with my funds. There will be plenty to do!
