> This coming Monday Prof. Shawn Blanton will be visiting Calvin.  Dr. Blanton is a 1987 graduate and is a full professor in electrical/computer engineering at Carnegie-Mellon University, one of the top universities in the country.  His goal is to meet with students and help them in the process of applying to CMU for either full-time graduate work or for summer research projects targeted to undergraduate students.

> His schedule for the day includes time slots for one-on-one meetings with students.  He will finish the day with a seminar at 3:30 about best practices for applying to graduate school.  If you are planning on graduate school, you need to attend the seminar on Monday.  You are also encouraged to signup for a one-on-one (or small group) meeting with him during the day on Monday.  The signup sheet is in the engineering department office and signups are first-come, first-served.
