Join Chris Wieringa, systems administrator for the CS department, as he explains and demonstrates his some of his hobby gadgets.

Title:  Hobbies for Computer Scientists:  Raspberry Pis and Arduinos

Abstract:  Raspberry Pis and Arduinos are miniature computing devices that can be used to sense and control the world around you.  This talk will cover the basics of what these devices are, some programming examples on how to use them, some basic electrical laws, and have plenty of live demos of their applications using LEDs, sensors, and other add-on components.
